Tai Chi Thursdays 10-11am with Charlene
Next class series: begins 9/19 and runs through 11/7/24 (8 weeks)
This class incorporates gentle, slow-moving Tai chi movements from the Yang & Chen forms & Qigong exercises to nurture your life energy or Qi. The movements will improve your balance, coordination, core strength and the strength & flexibility of your shoulders, and legs.
You will learn greater awareness of unnecessary tension you are holding while stationary and in motion. Letting go of this tension leads to less discomfort, calms the mind & improves the quality of your sleep. You will learn to be aware of how you are breathing during each movement. Deepening the breath calms the nervous system and has many other positive physiological effects. You will learn to improve your posture & have correct alignment of the feet over the knees to protect your back and knees. Incorporating this practice will allow you to move with greater ease & confidence in your daily life. The class is open to any age or level of experience in Tai Chi/Qigong practice. Moderation and staying within your comfortable limit are emphasized in each class. Maximum of 12 students.
Fee: $108 (cash or check) is due at the first class.
